Unihealth 24-Hr Clinic is being owned and managed by Dr Daniel Soong. He has graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2011. Dr Soong hails with years of medical experience holding the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Upon completion of his graduation, he has taken the opportunity of serving as a reputed health care professional across a number of hospital which includes Alexandra Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. The postings he served there are vivid and profound namely Internal Medicine, General Surgery and Orthopedics.
Dr Soong has challenged himself by garnering experience through working in the Accident and Emergency department. There he dealt with life threatening emergencies and acute care. Having niche experience in general practice and primary care, he is also capable of dealing with pediatric cases, women centric cases and also patients with geriatrics conditions. He believes in establishing an emergency clinic to cater to anyone in need of medical assistance. Delivering cost effective services for 24 hour emergency in Singapore and evidence based treatment for the patients is what will be ideal and affordable, suggests Dr Soong.
In medicine the vast area of interest for him includes minor surgery, acute medical care and management of skin condition. Dr Soong also has in depth interest in aesthetic dermatology notably the management of acne. Having done a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from Aesthetic Medicine Academy in America, he is also accredited by the also attributed to give aesthetic treatment involving botox, fillers and chemical peels.
Dr Soong believes in establishing an emergency clinic to cater to anyone in need of medical assistance. Dr Tan Wei Ming is a partner at Unihealth Medical Group / Unihealth 24 hours Clinic (Toa Payoh) and Unihealth Clinic (Bedok).
Dr Tan graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2010. On completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr Tan was given the opportunities to work and gain a valuable breath of clinical skills and insight in various medical and surgical specialties across reputable healthcare institutions in Singapore. As a junior doctor, he rotated through Obstetrics & Gynaecology posting in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Orthopaedics posting in Singapore General Hospital and Internal Medicine in Changi General Hospital.
Dr Tan subsequently worked in the primary care sector in Singhealth Polyclinics and National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, before returning for a short stint in the Infectious Diseases department in the Communicable Diseases Centre and the Clinical Standards and Improvement department, Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Tan went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and worked for a few years as a Resident Physician in Singhealth Polyclinics, providing quality, cost-effective, efficient healthcare to the community at the primary care level. Despite having left his position at Singhealth Polyclinics to be a partner at our group, Dr Tan still returns to polyclinics from time to time to serve the community and keep abreast of the latest progresses in the public sector healthcare, hence enabling him to serve patients to his best abilities on both sides.
Dr Daniel Yap is a partner at Unihealth Medical Group / Unihealth 24 hours Clinic (Toa Payoh) and Unihealth Clinic (Bedok).
Dr Daniel Yap graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) and is a Member of the College of Family Physicians Singapore.
On completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr Yap trained under the internal medicine residency programme in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he underwent rigorous rotations in core disciplines such as General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Endocrinology, Respiratory Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Cardiology, Infectious Diseases and Dermatology. This allowed him to gain a breadth of clinical skills and knowledge across a variety of disciplines. He also underwent a posting in Emergency Medicine, where he acquired skills and knowledge in acute care.
Following his stint in the public sector, Dr Yap went on to serve the community in Punggol Central as a Family Physician with a reputable healthcare chain. During the 4 years in the community, Dr Yap was able to practise the skills he had gained during the myriad of clinical training and of note, he gained confidence in serving various age groups of the population, especially the paediatric population which formed a substantial part of his patient base.
Dr Yap practises a holistic approach to healthcare and believes that Family Medicine and Primary Care are crucial aspects of our national healthcare system. The doctor-patient relationship built on mutual trust and respect is what keeps him going day to day.
